As much as I've tried not only to understand, but also to recreate the feeling of this completely ignored and neglected man sitting in a box outside of KFC (kentucky fried chicken) on the sidewalk on 42nd street in new york city, I've come to realize that i can spend years trying, but I'll never be able to understand. Nobody will, unless they've been there themselves. Even if what I'm trying to create may be impossible to be reproduce, I hope that this picture spreads some kind of message about the harsh conditions thousands of people in new york city are trying to live in, or more accurately, survive in.

Thank you! and yea, i would actually prefer the ppl walking by to be a bit more out of focus as well but i didnt know my camera too well back then and i only had my standard lens to rely on so unfortunately there isnt much i can do about that now.
